As August quickly approaches, I am reviewing our calendar wondering how we are going to survive the craziness of the next couple months. Our schedule is chalk full of wonderful and exciting events, but I am wondering if I will be able to survive it all, let alone find time to blog about it. I will try to dilegently post pictures and share stories with you all, but if I fail to do so, please forgive me. Here is what we will be up to:
Tomorrow July 31, we are heading to the beach to go camping with friends. It has been so hot here in Vancouver that we are thrilled to be able to escape to the coast for three glorious days.
We will return on Monday only to start preparing for our family vacation to Alaska. I am so freakin' excited about this trip. We booked our tickets last November, so it has been a long time planning and anticipating it.
We leave August 7 for Juneau where we will spend 6 days there with my good college friend, Katy and her family.
August 12, we leave Juneau and fly to Anchorage for 5 days with Mark's Aunts and their families.
We finally return home August 18, just in time for Becca's first birthday! (can you believe she will be one?)
Her birthday is August 21, followed by a birthday party at our house August 22.
Then my sister arrives from Tennessee on August 26- YAY! We cannot wait to see her! It will be 5 full days of all things wedding.
Saturday, August 29, I am hosting Cara's bridal shower followed by a girls night/slumber party for Cara's bridesmaids and closest friends.
Soccer starts for both boys- Trent meets his coach & team August 29. And Corbin will start playing games right after labor day.
September 2, Trent's 4th Birthday!!
September 4, we have an appointment with the Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon for Corbin's ears. We will discuss having surgery to put tubes in.
September 7, my Dad's 60th Birthday!
September 9, Corbin's first day of 1st grade!
September 10, Trent's first day of preschool!
September 13, birthday party for Corbin and Trent at the park.
September 21, Corbin's 6th birthday!
Then, we actually have a little breather, time to collect ourselves and relax after all the craziness. But we only have a brief break because Cara's wedding is October 17th.
Wow, I am exhausted just thinking about it all.

Phew, I'm tired just reading about it! So here's the problem. You had your kids' birthdays are within 6(?) weeks of each other AND right at the start of the new school year. (You'll be doing THAT for the next 20 years or so!) I propose you let them choose new birthdays...and you get to give them 3 choices each. Spread them out over the year and minimize the August/September dates. How's that sound? I do look forward to joining you all at your home (and I hope that I get to meet your men before the party begins...or after) for Cara's shower. It will be fun to meet her bridesmaids and some close friends of hers. It looks like I missed lots of blogs while I was out on the road. I am always amazed at how you find the time to take pics, download them, write blogs and insert pics/movies AND keep a family of five going and always looking happy! I sure enjoy the pictures. Becca looks cute with her little sneakers on. I assume that she's taking more steps in that case.
