Coach Scott talking about Corbin and giving him his trophy. Coach said Corbin was one of the sweetest kids. Coach Scott also shared the story of when Corbin was up to bat and went to Coach and told him he would hit it to the fence (no one hit the ball that far all season). Coach told him to go for it. Corbin struck out, but he left the field smiling and the next at bat, told Coach the same thing. This time he hit it. It was no where close to the fence, but Coach was proud of Corbin and his positive attitude!
The incredible cake- Corbin's team raised the most money for the hit-a-thon earlier this season. As a reward, they received money for our party. Since we were already planning a potluck picnic at the park, the money went to getting the cake.
