Christmas Update!

Celebrating Christmas was a wonderful, yet hectic few days. The kids were beyond wired, but mananged to hold it together very well all things considered.

We spent Christmas Eve with my parents, and Matt & Cara. Cara and Matt made a gingerbread house with the kids, and then we had a lovely dinner before opening gifts.

Christmas morning... Becca was the first to awake. We had told the boys they couldn't wake us up until 7a. Becca must have gotten this memo and woke up at 7a on the dot. Her first word of the day was "baby," which was what she had asked for from Santa. Then she immediately walked herself into the boys room and woke up Corbin. It was almost as if she knew exactly what day it was, and she was on a mission.

After opening presents and eating cinnamon rolls, we got ready to celebrate with the Sarvela family (all 27 of us).
The kids were dressed in their Christmas fancies from my grandma:

After a wonderful brunch, opening gifts and playing games with the Sarvelas, we made a quick trip by my parents to wish them Merry Christmas!

We got home by 8p, and we were all very tuckered out. In fact, I think we are still recovering. It definitely was a very Merry Christmas full of family and love.
