and a little boy a couple months older than Becca.
The six kids had a blast playing together. The older four kept each other busy and formed close friendships.
We knew we were in trouble when they started plotting together to trick us! The two babies quickly became buddies, sharing toys, following each other around and passing each other food.
At times, our visit with Rice family was chaotic, loud and boisterous. We got a little taste of what life would be like with six kids. We had our handful of meltdowns, a few tears, a little bickering, but as a whole, the kids got along great.

Meals were crazy- we ate in shifts. The kids first and then the adults at a separate table.
As for me, I loved getting to know Katy and Jeff's kids and chatting about being parents. Additionally, it was nice to have adult time after the kids were in bed. Mark and Jeff were generous enough to allow Katy and me to beat them in pinochle night after night.
Katy and Jeff were wonderful host. As soon as we left Juneau, I missed them and had Rice family withdraws. Trent still misses the girls- he talks about them all the time. I so wish we lived closer. Katy, Jeff, Ani, Jessica & Jackson you guys are fabulous! We love you guys, thanks for an amazing visit!
