Down the Aisle

Corbin keeps asking me what I am most looking forward to for Christmas. My response, Cara & Matt's visit. It hard to believe it has already been two months since we saw them last for the wedding. Their upcoming visit has also finally motivated me to get the video footage of the wedding off the camera and onto DVDs. With that done, I can also share with you the kids walking down the aisle.
Aren't they cute?

Spokane Pictures!

We were in Spokane from Wednesday night until Sunday Morning. And although the wedding was definitely the high point, we did do a few other things worth sharing. So here is an collection of pictures from the rest of our time in Spokane, including the girls day/bacherolette party and rehearsal dinner.

Welcome to Spokane!

More from Cara's Wedding!

Cara's photographer has posted a small selection of the profession pictures on her blog, Moxie Images, just click on the individual pictures to see them larger. Her photographer also put together a slide show that you can see on facebook.

And here are a few of my favorite pictures from our camera (and a couple I got from other people)- unfortunately, I didn't take many of Cara and Matt.

The bride getting her hair done- notice her lovely vintage hair pins. They were gorgeous and matched her rust orange shoes! Perfect for fall. Cara doing one some of the bridesmaids makeup. Not your typical bride job, but Cara's cool like that!
The Sarvela girls- Becca did such a great job walking down the aisle with Corbin.
Mark with his little girl. Mark was a lifesaver the whole weekend. He was on kid duty most of the time while I assisted Cara.

Mom with some of the girls- Don't they look lovely! I just loved the way the colors worked together with the fall leaves.

Cara and her bridesmaids!

Becca, my adorable flower girl!

Evelyn, the other adorable flower girl!

Poppy (My dad) and the boys.

Corbin posing for a picture. Corbin had so much fun. He danced the night away with Cara and Matt's friends. He even earned the name "dancing machine".

The Cake. The cake topper is from my grandma's wedding over 60 years ago.

The groom's cake. Cara and Matt love scrabble!

Matt's brother, James, and his wife, Ada

The moms- both looked so beautiful.

It was such a wonderful day. I wish I had more pictures that really captured just how beautiful everything was. I am truly so happy for Cara and Matt! They are great together.

Ring Tiger

Today Trent came up to me and said, "I was a ring tiger for Cara & Matt's wedding" "A what?!" I asked. "I wasn't a ring bear, Corbin was the ring bear, I was the ring Tiger." hmm... very silly Trent! So, here is my very handsome Ring Bear and Ring Tiger! They did such a wonderful job at the wedding. I am so proud of my little ring animals.

Cara's Wedding!

We spent the past weekend in Spokane celebrating my sister and Matt. The weekend kicked off with a wonderful girl's day/bachelorette party on Thursday. The rehearsal & rehearsal dinner on Friday. And Saturday was the big day- The GISH-HOAG WEDDING! And it was fabulous! It was such a joyous occassion and simply perfect. I uploaded some of my photos to Facebook. You can check them out here. I realized that although Cara and I posed for dozens of pictures, not one of them was on my camera. Nor, did I get a single shot of Cara and Matt together on the wedding day besides them dancing. I look forward to seeing the professional shots and all the other photos from Cara & Matt's special day. We were so honored to be apart of the celebration.
